Naxlar

Vaynaxlar (rus. Вайнахи; çeç. вайн нах; inquş вей нах "bizim xalqımız") və ya Çeçen-İnquşlar — Şimali Qafqazın vaynax dillərində danışan xalqları- çeçenlər, inquşlar və kistlər və onlarla əlaqəli olan tarixi və az sayıda etnik azlıqlar bura daxildir.

Naxlar - Sovet dönəmində nax dillərini daha böyük çərçivədə araşdırmaq üçün Gürcüstanda etnik azlıq olan batsların da vaynaxların tərkibinə qatılması nəticəsində ortaya çıxan termindir.^[1]

The term was rarely used, and was considered obsolete by the 1970s, although «нахские народы» may still occasionally be used as a synonym of Вайнахи. Olson et al., An Ethnohistorical Dictionary of the Russian and Soviet Empires(1994), p. 458: "The term "Nakh peoples" (Veinakh peoples), is an older, generic, linguistic reference to people who speak one of the Nakh languages in the Caucasic group. The term is only rarely used anymore."
